NY SCHOOLS STILL IN FISCAL PERIL On January 30, 2014, hundreds of parents, teachers, administrators, students and community members from 47 school districts in the Capital Region gathered at Colonie Central High School for "New York Schools STILL in Fiscal Peril: Our Kids Can't Wait Another Year" to learn about the Gap Elimination Adjustment and to advocate for adequate, equitable and sustainable funding for schools. Among the education and funding experts on the panel was SSFC's Dr. Rick Timbs.
